1)      Why it’s called Oxon Translation Service?

Oxon Translation Service (OxonTranslation) was initially founded by Chinese native Ph.D students from Oxford University, the abbreviation name for which is Oxon. OxonTranslation.com was setup in 2008, three years after they started to provide Chinese translation services to local and national companies and individuals in UK.

2)      Why choose Oxon Translation Service?

OxonTranslation aims to provide first class Chinese language service at a very competitive rate. To achieve this, our translators are all advanced degree holders (Master and PhD) and have expertise in different fields and rich experience in Chinese translation; we do our best to cut administrative cost: we mainly work from home and use email or fax to receive order, negotiate and deliver. Our rate is at least 20% cheaper than offered by translation agencies.

3)      Any other contact method?

As said above, we mainly use email/fax to communicate with clients. It’s efficient, quick and cost effective. If you prefer to talk to member of our management team, please email us first to request this. You can reach us via phones, MSN, Skype, Yahoo! Messenger or Google Talk, whatever you like! We respond to your email quicker than you think!

4)      If my documents are not in a MS Office format, are they still can be translated?

Of course, but extra charge might apply. We may also charge by pages, rather than the default word counting way.

5)      How long it takes?

Once the requirement and cost issues are made clear, we can start doing the projects immediately. The workload (translation/proofreading) per day per translator is about 2,000/6,000 words, although for urgent work we can manage to make it 4,000/12,000 words. The turnout time for typesetting projects depends on the format of the document. Email us with your document for accurate information.

6)      Does OxonTranslation deal with projects outside UK?

Yes! If you can find us, we can certainly serve you! Our distance is always one click away. We accept payment via international bank transfer or PayPal. If you prefer to other methods of payment, please email us to discuss.

7)      How about other languages? Does OxonTranslation provide language services other than Chinese language services?

We do provide other language services. We have partners all over the world. We hand-picked these partners and they are very similar to us in some way: advanced degree holders and work from home. As a result, the high quality translation service with reasonable rate is guaranteed.

8)      Do I need to pay deposit first?

No, on most conditions. But we need to assure ourselves that you are truly there.
